Sending a BIG thank you to our Ethos Equity Consulting clients, partners, and supporters! The connections we created, the minds and hearts that opened, and the systems that were transformed would not have been possible without you.
In 2022 Ethos Equity Consulting reviewed 86 unique process and leveraged the gathered insights to identify targeted, mission-aligned strategies that mitigate unconscious discrimination.
Throughout the process, Ethos Equity evaluated institutional operations with a racial equity lens and created connections that illuminated each organization’s strengths and threats.
Ethos Equity offered a diverse range of strategic counsel in 2022. Over the course of the year we collaborated with four unique clients to establish theories of change and create workflows to implement mission-aligned strategies that center racial and social equity
Our work allowed us to guide the creation of values statements and spotlight the ways intentional efforts and updated policies can effectively combat systemic barriers related to racist zoning and environmental injustice, advocating for marginalized children in need, prioritizing self-determination in community development, and cultivating inclusive work environments.
Throughout the year Ethos Equity continually advocated for the City of Dallas to adopt equitable community outreach and engagement best practices. The persistence paid off when engagement was added as a “key driver” of City operations and the Deputy City Manager announced that staff will take action to effectively communicate and equitably engage with all residents.
Ethos Equity also championed self-determination and coalition building for equitable land use at EarthX 2022, and planned events in West and Southern Dallas that amplified resident concerns and priorities in order to catalyze equitable community transformation.
In 2022 Ethos Equity reached more than 375 unique individuals by curating and leading anti-racist DEI trainings.
We prioritized learning through conversation and actionable strategies, and topics included Actionable Strategies for Racial Justice in the Workplace, Equity in Education: Six Culturally Responsive SEL Principles, Setting Equitable Goals for Business Growth, and Igniting Inclusion: Understanding The Intersections of Identity.
Ethos Equity also hosted Healing the Harm: Reclaiming the Black Birthing Experience where more than 70 women from various backgrounds congregated for a critical conversation around the maternal mortality crisis’ disproportionate impact on Black women in America.
We are excited to continue learning, unlearning, and growing together in the new year. Bring it on 2023!
a social impact firm rooted in racial, social, and environmental liberation
